The best D2C marketing agency for a brand selling Rs 20 lakh a month is rarely the best one for a brand selling Rs 20 crore. Budgets, channels and team size change what a good partner looks like, and most “top agency” lists ignore that.
This guide takes a different route. First, it lists seven agencies that work with D2C and ecommerce brands. Then it says what each does well and who it suits, and notes where an agency’s own site leaves gaps. Finally, it explains how to match an agency to your brand’s stage.
Voxturr publishes this guide and is listed first, so treat that placement as a disclosure, not a ranking. Everything said about the other six comes from their own websites, and every figure is a claim the agency makes about itself.

How These Agencies Were Chosen
Every agency here has a public website that describes its services, and each one works with direct-to-consumer or ecommerce brands. However, the list is not a ranking. No agency was scored, interviewed or audited for this guide.
Three rules shaped the write-ups. First, a claim appears only if the agency’s own site makes it, and the text says so. Second, an agency’s own “best of” lists were not used as sources, since those lists tend to rank their publisher first. Third, where a site leaves out something a buyer needs, such as pricing or a headquarters city, the gap is noted instead of filled with a guess.
Buyers should apply the same standard to any shortlist. A case study with a percentage but no starting point, time frame or channel mix tells you little. Ask for the baseline, the spend and the period before you accept a number.
The Best D2C Marketing Agencies to Consider
The order below is a disclosure, not a verdict. Voxturr appears first because Voxturr published this guide, and the rest follow in no particular ranking.
1. Voxturr
Voxturr works with D2C and marketplace brands on paid media, Amazon, creative and retention. Its D2C page cites 150+ global brands, $60M+ in annual ad spend, a 6X+ average ROAS and $360M+ in annual sales value. All of these figures are Voxturr’s own.
The case studies are specific about timing. Kissa Kidswear reached a 3.5+ ROAS within 60 days and about $20K in monthly revenue. High On Chicken hit a 3.5+ ROAS in under 60 days and INR 300,000 in monthly revenue. Vajra Jewellery reached a 4.4+ ROAS in under 90 days across 15+ campaigns. ROAS measures revenue against ad spend, so it says nothing about margin.
Voxturr does not publish prices. Its site says cost depends on scope, channels and how involved the agency is, from strategy-only support to full execution. It suits brands that want one team across strategy and execution, mainly in India, the US and the UAE.
2. ROI Minds
ROI Minds calls itself an AI-first digital marketing agency, with an office in Mohali, Punjab. Ecommerce and D2C sit at the center of its pitch. The homepage says it has worked with 250+ global ecommerce and DTC brands, although its FAQ gives 150+, so ask which figure is current. It offers a “DTC Growth Partner” package.
Its services include Meta, Google and TikTok ads, Shopify development, Amazon marketing, UGC creative, conversion work and SEO, including AI search. It also offers white-label services to other agencies. The site claims $300M+ in ecommerce revenue and over $50M in managed ad budgets, both self-reported. Few clients are named, so request references. It suits brands that want paid media and Shopify support from an India-based team.
3. upGrowth
upGrowth describes itself as a Pune-based growth marketing and generative-engine optimization agency, serving 250+ clients across India and the GCC. Its ecommerce work covers SEO, paid media, conversion optimization and retention, plus Amazon advertising and product pages written for AI search.
Its client list mixes large consumer names with smaller D2C brands. One D2C testimonial, from Freshly Meals, cites a CAC drop of more than 30%. As with every agency here, these results are self-reported. The agency suits Indian brands that want search and paid work under one roof.
4. Darkroom
Darkroom is a New York agency that calls itself the first AI-native advertising agency. Its services run from growth strategy and paid media to retention, Amazon management, TikTok Shop and site development. Clients named on its site include Adobe, Amazon, Everlane and Crate & Barrel.
The agency states that it fits consumer brands of roughly $10M to $500M in revenue, and a poor fit below about $5M. It also does not use the D2C label on its homepage. Early-stage founders should look elsewhere, whereas established multi-channel brands may find the scope useful. Its own claims include a 290% rise in Amazon net revenue for Laundry Sauce.
5. Common Thread Collective
Common Thread Collective is based in Costa Mesa, California, and describes itself as an ecommerce profit partner. It buys media on Meta, Google and TikTok Shop, produces ad creative and measures incrementality. It also sells a software product called the Prophit Engine, paired with a dedicated engineer.
The site claims more than $3 billion in profitable growth across its clients, without explaining how that total was counted. Clients include Theragun, ColourPop and Liquid Death. The agency suits US brands that care about contribution margin more than top-line revenue.
6. 1Digital
1Digital is a Miami-based agency that says it has served 400+ ecommerce brands since 2012. It covers ecommerce SEO, AI search, PPC including Amazon, custom design, headless builds and replatforming, with 200+ Magento-to-Shopify Plus migrations on its record.
It is one of the few agencies here that publishes pricing, with SEO plans from $899 to $5,999 a month. Its case results are anonymised, for example a 55.90% conversion lift for an FMCG client in four months. It suits mid-size stores that need platform and search work together.
7. Tinuiti
Tinuiti is a large performance marketing agency with a commerce practice that covers Amazon and other marketplaces. It does not market itself as a D2C specialist, but many D2C brands use it for paid media at scale. Its case studies include a 15% total Amazon sales gain for the brand Ursa Major.
Its size brings depth in measurement and channel coverage. Smaller brands may find the scale and budgets above their needs, so check minimum spend early.
How to Choose a D2C Marketing Agency
Match the agency to your stage
A brand below roughly $5M in revenue rarely needs a full-service team with enterprise tooling. It needs fast testing on one or two channels and a partner who will stay hands-on. In contrast, a brand past $50M needs measurement, retention and marketplace work coordinated across teams.
Ask for the baseline behind every result
A 3X ROAS can be excellent or weak, depending on margin, average order value and repeat rate. Therefore, ask each agency for the starting point, the spend, the channel mix and the time frame behind a case study. Then ask what happened to profit, not just revenue.
Check how the contract works
Fee structures vary. Some agencies charge a flat retainer, others take a share of ad spend, and a few mix the two. Check the notice period, the minimum term and who owns the ad accounts at the end. Accounts should sit in your name.
Meet the people who will do the work
Sales teams and delivery teams are often different. Ask who manages your account day to day, how many brands that person handles, and how often you will review results together.
Finding the Right Fit
The right partner depends on your revenue, your channels and how much of the work you want to hand off. Read the case studies critically, ask for baselines, and speak to at least two or three agencies before deciding. To talk through your own brand, contact Voxturr or read about its D2C marketing services.
Frequently Asked Questions
What does a D2C marketing agency do?
A D2C marketing agency helps a brand that sells directly to shoppers acquire and keep customers. The work usually covers paid media, creative, email and SMS, search, conversion optimization and sometimes store builds or marketplace management.
How much does a D2C marketing agency cost?
Prices vary widely with scope and brand size. Most agencies, Voxturr included, quote after a call, and few publish rates. Our separate guide on D2C marketing agency cost breaks down retainer and performance models in more detail.
Is a D2C agency better than an in-house team?
It depends on stage. Early on, an agency gives you a full skill set without hiring several people. As spend and complexity grow, many brands move creative and lifecycle work in-house and keep an agency for media buying or specialist channels.
How long before results show?
Paid channels can show signals within weeks, and several case studies above claim target ROAS in 60 to 90 days. Search and retention work normally take longer. Treat any promise of fast, guaranteed returns with caution.
What should I ask before signing?
Ask for the starting metrics behind each case study, the contract term, who owns the ad accounts, who will run your account, and how results are reported.
